The Flexxodomer – DOuble MEmbrane Roof and thus DOMER – is designed to ensure a maximum lifespan in all kinds of circumstances and therefore the cover is extremely durable for our customers. We realise this by using the best materials on the market, a bi-axial design, the use of tested components and by certified production and assembly. This double-layer membrane roof is often used in the biogas industry and is ideally suited to function as a roof on silos where biogas is stored and/or where sustainable energy is generated. This cover is suitable for biogas installations with a gas engine as well as with a gas cleaning installation. The characteristic convex or spherical shape combines a maximum gas storage volume with an optimised shape for external influences such as wind and snow. In addition to this convex shape, a rectangular design is also possible.

  • ArtboardCreated with Sketch. The design of every Flexxodomer is customer specific optimised on local conditions such as wind and snow. This significantly increases the lifespan of your double membrane roof!
  • ArtboardCreated with Sketch. We carry out bi-directional tests on the foil by means of tensile tests and we carry out corrections in both directions of the foil. This prevents a 'pumpkin-like' shape and guarantees an optimal design.
  • ArtboardCreated with Sketch. The support construction is standard designed for a snow load of 85 kg/m², so that no damage can be caused in extreme weather conditions.
  • ArtboardCreated with Sketch. All our metal parts that might get in contact with gas are always made of stainless steel-316 because of the minimum sensitivity to corrosion (rust).
  • ArtboardCreated with Sketch. For each domer you get an extensive report in which all strength calculations, conditions and the resulting force on the silo wall are calculated. By checking this with the silo builder, we can prevent unforeseen problems, so that a maximum lifespan can be achieved.

  • Available and successfully realised in diameters from ø2 to ø50 metres.
  • Delivery always includes support construction, desulphurisation net, edge clamping, visual gas volume meter and support air system.
  • Rectangular available up to 40*70 meters, for other dimensions ask our sales manager.
  • The Flexxodomer can be supplied as a thermally insulated roof. Standard as single thermal insulated (HR+) or optionally as double thermal insulated (HR++) air blown roof.
  • Standard foil; polyester fabric with 2-sided PVC; 4,000 N/5 cm (900 g/m²). The foil that is used in our products is extremely stable in shape, it has a breaking strength of 8000 kg per linear metre produced by a West European supplier. Stronger foil possible if desired or needed.
  • Alternative foils for gas membranes such as fPP, Alcryn, N-PVC are available if required or requested.
  • Standard operating pressures from -0.5 to +3.5 mbar. Higher pressures possible if required.
  • Centre columns at least FSC tropical hardwood D60. Stainless steel columns available if desired (both 304 and 316).
  • The designs of our covers are approved in all countries in Europe. Standard according to German TI-4, according to TRAS-120 is possible on request.
  • In standard execution the roof has a spherical shape with a clamping system on top of the wall. We can also supply other shapes such as pointed roofs and membranes for the 'Schlauch' system.
  • Matching overpressure and underpressure valves and various types of electronic gas volume meters are available as an option.
  • Design optimised for no or minimal biogas loss in case of sudden sun appearance.
  • Support construction standard designed for 85 kg/m² of snow load.
